What Directory Websites Don’t Have and Local Montana Immigration Lawyers Do

July 9, 2012 By Admin-ILM Leave a Comment

Searching the internet for an immigration lawyer does not always produce the results that it should. Many of the websites that will come up in the immigration law search is done, will be directory websites that have listings for attorneys. The problem with these kinds of websites is that they are there to make money and not to benefit the person that is searching for a local Montana immigration lawyer. The only way that an attorney is going to be found searching the internet is by using specific search terms, “immigration lawyer Montana,” “Montana immigration lawyer,” “immigration attorney Montana,” and “Montana immigration attorney.”

Using a search term immigration lawyer, immigration attorney or immigration law, will bring up many directory sites that are not going to provide the same quality of local legal immigration attorney advice. Directory websites exist for one main purpose and that is to make money and is a lead generating service. They will have lists of attorneys or offer to find an immigration lawyer, if you put your personal information in their online form. This is then used to give as a lead to the highest paying attorney to their site. It does not guarantee that lawyer will be an expert in immigration law. It does not guarantee that the lawyer will be able to provide quality representation or even practice law in Montana.

Looking for immigration lawyer advice, should be with an attorney that is trusted to know any changes in rules and regulations by the USCIS and that is not the case with the attorney found on a directory, since they may not even specialize in immigration law. Having immigration lawyer questions and not getting the answers by an attorney that is not informed about this area of the law is not quality legal representation. The internet search for the “immigration lawyer Montana,” will provide real legal representation, because this is their area of practice. They know any changes that have been made and know how to provide accurate immigration lawyer advice for any of the immigration law issues that can arise. They are also local, which might not be the case if you are able to find an attorney on one of the directory sites.

Directory websites run on two principals, bring the visitor to the site and make money, whether it is by the visitor providing their contact information or clicking on links. This can waste a lot of time when there are immigration issues that the visa holder or applicant would benefit from immigration lawyer advice. Instead, what the directory site does is to offer attorneys leading the person searching the internet to believe they will find a lawyer, till they get to the site. Then it is either lawyer’s names and to contact them, it means filling out the online form, clicking on the immigration area of the law to be sent to another site that might not even have any attorneys listed.

Next in the naturalization process will be a letter received from the USCIS, which will have an appointment for the interview. This letter will request any additional documents that are required, and it will have a location to have your fingerprints taken.

The date received for the interview will mean preparing, and this should include taking all of the original documents that were sent with your application for reference. The other documents that will be necessary are state issued identification, Permanent Resident Card, and any documents that are requested. Answer any questions asked by the USCIS officer, even if they seem extremely personal. There will not be any questions asked that are against policy, and if you do not understand one of the questions, tell the officer.

There will be English and civics tests required to take and after this, the person applying to become a United States citizen by the naturalization process will receive a case status.
